The Norwegian city of Kristiansand witnessed on Saturday a demonstration in protest against the Israeli occupation’s plan to annex parts of the West Bank and in support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
In a statement during the demonstration, organized by several Norwegian organizations, Palestine’s Ambassador to Norway Antoinette Sedin stressed the Palestinian people’s complete rejection of the occupation’s attempt to control the occupied Palestinian territories and impose a De facto policy.
She affirmed the need to unify the Palestinian ranks to stand up to all attempts aiming at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
Meantime, hundreds of Irish citizens took part in a demonstration to condemn the Israeli annexation plan in the West Bank.
Participants in the demonstration, that started from the center of the Irish Capital Dublin and was organized by the Palestinian community in cooperation with the Irish parties and trade unions, affirmed their absolute rejection of the Israeli annexation and settlement plan as well as the so-called “Deal of the Century”.
The participants called on the Irish government and the governments of the countries of the European Union to reject the Israeli annexation scheme, lift the suffering of the Palestinians because of occupation, end all forms of repression and siege imposed on the Palestinian people and recognize the state of Palestine with al-Quds as its capital.
