Army establishes control over positions overlooking Ark gas field in Palmyra countryside

Homs – The Syrian Arab Army established control over a number of hills and vantage points overlooking Ark gas field northeast of Palmyra city in Homs province, a military source announced on Saturday evening.

The source said that army units, in cooperation with allied forces, continued their operations against ISIS northeast of Palmyra, establishing control over hills and vantage points overlooking Ark gas field, reaching positions 4 kilometers from the field, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment on ISIS terrorists, SANA reported.
