Provinces – Syrian Arab Army units, in cooperation with allied forces, continued to advance in the Badyia desert area, establishing control over the Ark Triangle area, hills overlooking it, and the Third Station in Homs province, a military source said.
The source said that the army units and its allies thwarted attempts by ISIS terrorists to recapture the areas from which they were expelled in the Badyia, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and weaponry upon the fleeing terrorists, adding that the terrorists blew up the station and the oil wells before they fled, SANA reported.
Raqqa/Aleppo
The Syrian Air Force carried out intensive airstrikes on ISIS positions and vehicle convoys in the western countryside of Raqqa and eastern countryside of Aleppo.
A military source said that the army airstrikes completely destroyed positions and vehicles for ISIS terrorists, killed scores of them, and injured others.
Deir Ezzor
Army units, backed by the Syrian Air Force, destroyed gatherings and a weapons depot for ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor.
The army units engaged in fierce clashes with ISIS terrorist groups which attacked military points at night in al-Rishdieh neighborhood and the southern axis of Deir Ezzor city, killing and injuring many of the terrorists, while the remaining ones fled, according to SANA.
SANA added that the Air Force destroyed a weapons depot of ISIS terrorists in al-Hamedieh neighborhood along with a number of their hideouts and fortifications in the surroundings of the Airport, the areas of al-Panorama, al-Maqaber (graveyards), al-Thurdeh, and the neighbourhoods of al-Sinaa, al-Omal, Kanamat, al-Rishdie, and al-Hweiqeh in the city.
Local sources confirmed the death of Saudi terrorist Abu Souheib al-Jazrawi, the assistant of “Hisbeh Emir” of ISIS in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, as his body was found dumped on the road to Abu Khashab village about 70 km northwest of Deir Ezzor.
