Armenian PM: Massacre committed by Ottoman authorities is crime against humanity

In a speech he made during his visit to the genocide monument on the 105 anniversary of the massacre, Pashinyan noted the Armenian people sustained huge human losses as a result of the atrocity in which more than 1.5 million Armenians were killed and hundreds of thousands were displaced from their indigenous homeland as a result of the racist policy of hatred pursued by the Ottoman authorities.

He expressed gratitude for all countries and international organizations which recognized, denounced the massacre and expressed solidarity with Armenian people.

The Armenian genocide took place between 1915-1923 and it included acts of killing and genocide that reached peak on April 24 1915 through issuing a decision  that called for displacing the Armenians living in the Ottoman empire and killing them.
