After 7-Year Hiatus, Electricity Returns to Nubul and al-Zahraa Towns in Aleppo Countryside

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Electricity Ministry’s maintenance workshops have finished repairing and rehabilitating components of the power network in Nubul and al-Zahraa towns of Aleppo countryside.

According to Eng. Fawaz al-Dhaher, Director General of the General Establishment for  Electricity Transmission, electricity returned to the area after a 7-year hiatus because of the siege imposed by the terrorists groups on the two towns.

 Eng. al-Dhaher said in a statement to SANA reporter that a new power transformer station 66KV/20KV with a capacity of 30MW was built and An 18 km long high voltage line 66KV was also set up. In addition, he said, all low voltage networks and transforming centers were repaired to ensure power supply to the two towns.
