Moscow: Washington has lost any right to submit observations about human rights

Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova  confirmed that the United States of America has lost any right to submit observations of other countries on the subject of human rights in light of its dealing with the current protests.

“Since last May and early June, the United States lost any right to direct any observations to anyone on human rights issues,” Zakharova said in an interview with Russia 1 Channel.

Regarding  the US authorities’ handling of the demonstrators participating in the protests against racism and police violence in the United States, Zakharova commented saying: “From this moment on, the US  has no right to make any observations on human rights”.

A number of American states witnessed massive demonstrations in protest against the racism and crimes of the American police, the latest of which was the murder of the young man of African descent George Floyd who died after a white police officer pressed his knee on his neck for more than eight minutes until he stopped breathing.
