Secret contacts between Saudi regime and “Israel” over a Saudi role in managing Al-Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED Al-QUDS, (ST)- Israeli media outlets have unveiled secret contacts between the Saudi regime and the Israeli occupation entity that aim at giving Saudi Arabia a role in the management of Islamic holy shrines in the occupied city of al-Quds.

“Israel Today” newspaper reported that the secret contacts, that have been taking place since last December through American mediation, aim at including Saudi representatives in the Council of Islamic Endowments, Affairs and Holy Shrines in Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds.

The newspaper said that Saudi diplomats have asserted that secret and highly sensitive contacts are being made between diplomats and senior security officials from “Israel”, Saudi Arabia and the United States within the framework of pushing the so-called “Deal of the Century” forward.

The Saudi regime is pressing ahead with steps for normalization with the Israeli occupation entity through repeated visits and meetings between officials from both sides and through economic cooperation. Riyadh backs the ill-famed “Deal of the Century” that was announced by US President Donald Trump last January aiming at undermining the Palestinian cause and depriving the Palestinian people from their legitimate rights.
