Havana (ST): Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel renewed the demand of his country to cancel the unilateral coercive measures being imposed by the West on some states, stressing that they violate the UN charter and hinder the ability of states to confront the spread of Corona virus effectively.
In a speech he made during the virtual summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, Miguel Diaz said that the Corona virus pandemic proved that the world is imbalanced, noting that the multi-crises emerging form the fatal virus would have long and catastrophic consequences on economy and all aspects of life.
He denounced the recent grave military threats delivered by the US against Venezuelan and Nicaraguan people.
The Cuban President also condemned the US attack against the multi-polar system and its threats against UN organizations, especially the World Health Organization.
