Moscow, (ST) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov confirmed that US President Donald Trump’s decision to cut funding to the World Health Organization is “inappropriate behavior”.
Russia Today website quoted Ryabkov as saying in an interview with Al-Hayat International that this behavior during the epidemic is a stunning blow.
Ryabkov considered that questions about a global system, whether the World Health Organization is working properly or not, is inappropriate and inappropriate.
On the other hand, the permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov, indicated that it is ridiculous to say that the World Health Organization has hidden something from the United States, because Washington’s representative works in the main office of the organization, stressing that the United States remains the main debtor of global health.
US President Donald Trump had announced earlier that he had ordered his administration to suspend the payment of the United States’ financial contribution to the World Health Organization, under the pretext of what he called the “mismanagement” of the United Nations in the crisis of the Corona virus.
