Palestinian Health Ministry: Israeli occupation killed 1,000 Palestinian doctors, nurses during its aggression on Gaza Strip
The Palestinian Health Ministry said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation forces continue to target the health system in all areas of Gaza Strip.
In a press conference, Director General of Field Hospitals Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, indicated that the occupation destroyed dozens of hospitals and medical centers, turning them out of service.
Al-Hams further noted that the Israeli occupation “deliberately” targets medical staff, indicating that it “has so far executed more than 1,000 doctors, nurses, and health cadres.”
He pointed out that the occupation army also targeted and destroyed Abu Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah Governorate, noting that Abu Yousef Hospital provided health and medical services to 300,000 people.
“(The hospital) provided health services during the genocide war to one and a half million displaced people and citizens before the Israeli invasion of Rafah Governorate.”
In this regard, Al-Hams called on the international community to take a “serious stand” to restore and protect the health sector.
The Ministry of Health indicated that the Israeli occupation targeted over the past few hours the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip “directly and without any reason”.
The Ministry of Health called on the international community to stop the war of extermination against the Palestinian people, protect hospitals, secure medical staff, and work to re-operate and restore hospitals to improve the humanitarian and health situation in the Strip.
