Iraq, Palestine Popular Struggle Front and Saudi Arabia condemn the Israeli terrorist attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
The INA news agency quoted a Foreign Ministry statement as saying that it “expresses its condemnation of the targeting of the Iranian diplomatic mission in the Syrian capital, Damascus, today by the Israeli occupation forces.”
The Ministry added: “This attack represents a clear and flagrant violation of international law and Syrian sovereignty and warns of the danger of compromising the security of diplomatic missions that have diplomatic immunity under international laws,” noting that “the expansion of the circle of violence in the region will lead to more chaos and instability.”
The Ministry once again called on the international community to “take urgent action to stop the killing and destruction in the Gaza Strip and the continued targeting of Syrian territory.”
In a related context, The Palestine Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) condemned the Israeli terrorist attack that targeted the Iranian consulate building in Damascus.
The Front explained in a statement, reported by SANA, that what the Zionist occupation entity did violated all international laws and Syrian and Iranian national sovereignty. It considered that this aggression is an attempt to export the crisis of this entity abroad after its failure in the barbaric war on the Gaza Strip, and an attempt to drag the region into expanding the scope of this war to a wide regional level.
The Front expressed its solidarity and support for Iran and the countries and forces of the Axis of Resistance to confront these repeated assaults and attacks in which civilians are victims.
Saudi Arabia also expressed its condemnation and strong rejection of the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate building in Damascus.
A statement by the Saudi Arabia published on X platform said:” The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemns the targeting of the building of Iranian Consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and expressed its categorical rejection of targeting the diplomatic facilities for any justification or under any pretext, which constitutes a violation of international diplomatic laws and the rules of diplomatic immunity.
In turn, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, expressed his condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of the Iranian consulate building, stressing the importance of adhering to international laws, treaties and diplomatic immunities calling for the protection and preservation of diplomatic and consular missions.
