Damascus countryside , (ST) -The total value of investments in Adra Industrial City reached 946.19 billion Syrian pounds through 10,200 sites that include industrial facilities working in engineering, textile, chemical, food, and building materials sectors, extending over a total area of 7,005 hectares.
The Director of the industrial city Moataz Qattan said in a statement to SANA reporter that work currently focuses on encouraging sustainable development projects and renewable energies by preparing service, institutional and legal infrastructure, and providing facilities to establish these projects.
The working on expanding water projects to meet the growing need for it in the city is also currently focused.
In order to facilitate and simplify procedures for industrialists and new investors, Qattan pointed out, the single window principle was adopted in the city, the residential city project was launched, and a number of residential units were completed in it. In addition, water wells were rehabilitated to pump water to the industrial city’s main reservoirs to provide the necessary water for industrialists. He stressed that the training and rehabilitation center that was opened in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and brought added value to the city.
Qattan added that there is a constant demand for the allocation of various industrial plots, noting that the city’s administration is currently providing the new expansion area with the necessary infrastructure services to complete the allocation process for all industrial sectors. He pointed out that the facilities provided and investment incentives provided to industrialists contributed to the entry of new production factories over separate periods of time.
