Damascus University advanced 355 places in the transparency standard of Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities

 The University of Damascus advanced 355 places within the transparency criterion of the Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities . It has  ranked 1876th globally, after being ranked 2231st in the previous version of the classification.

It is noteworthy that the university benefited from the increase in the number of effective citations (attributions) for university researchers, which reached more than 70 thousand citations.

It is also the first time that a Syrian university is among the top two thousand universities in the world according to this criterion of university classification.
