The Ministry of Health discusses with a Russian delegation mechanisms to expand cooperation in the medical field

Within the framework of the fifth Syrian-Russian joint meeting to follow up on the international conference on the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons, a Russian delegation discussed with directors from the Ministry of Health mechanisms for enhancing health cooperation between Syria and Russia.

The two sides discussed in the Ministry’s building today the importance of expanding cooperation with regard to hospitals and primary health care, in addition to medical equipment, ambulances and the exchange of medicines.

The Russian delegation affirmed its country’s readiness to train Syrian doctors in various specialties, especially cancer and heart diseases.

In turn, the Syrian side indicated that a list of the number of doctors who need to be trained and the required specializations will be sent.
