The hero martyr Abdul Rahman Al-Abed

The hero martyr Abdul Rahman Al-Abed from the countryside of Aleppo, was martyred in the Masmiya area in the Daraa countryside on 18th  of December  in 2012 when his military unit was targeted by a terrorist attack.

The martyr was with his comrades in an advanced guard point when a number of terrorists  in the area attacked the military unit with machine guns and mortars.

Martyr Abdul Rahman and his companions resisted valiantly, and when his comrades’ ammunition ran out, the martyr refused to withdraw from his point and preferred to stay where he was.

The hero Abdul Rahman continued to resist the armed men alone for more than twenty minutes… until he was shot in the left leg and again in the chest and was martyred.

Sergeant Mahmoud, who was present during the attack  narrates about the martyr Abdul Rahman, his bravery and his love for his homeland
