In implementation of President al-Assad’s directives, a follow-up meeting for a number of service and development projects in Aleppo
In implementation of the directives of President Bashar al-Assad following his recent visit to Aleppo, the government delegation headed by Engineer Hussein Arnous, the Prime Minister, held a meeting today at Aleppo Governorate building, which included the directors of the concerned institutions to follow up on the implementation of a number of priority service and development projects approved by the Council of Ministers.
The projects included supplying the town of Khanaser and its environs with drinking water and completing the first phase of the Jub Ghabsha Al-Sein project to deliver water to 26 villages, in addition to a project to complete the rehabilitation of 4,400 hectares in the southern plains of Aleppo.
The projects also included preparing the technical and executive study for the project to irrigate the villages of the southern countryside of Aleppo and completing the contracting procedures for the rehabilitation of the remaining three groups in the Aleppo thermal power station to be put into service.
The priority projects also included the inclusion of the railway branch project of the Aleppo Thermal Station in the 2022 plan, the completion of the rehabilitation and employment of the lighthouse in the old city in addition to the rehabilitation of the oncology hospital.
During the meeting, Engineer Arnous stressed that additional financial appropriations were allocated to complete the implementation of these projects according to specific time periods and the required quality, stressing the completion of implementation without any delay and the necessity of full cooperation and coordination between the concerned institutions..
The directors of the concerned service institutions and companies gave a brief explanation of the reality of the implementation of these projects and the percentages of completion in them, stressing commitment to the specific time schedules and technical and contractual conditions in order to put these projects into investment.
