Putin initially agrees to participate in the G20 summit

Moscow, (ST) – The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow had initially informed Jakarta of President Vladimir Putin’s intention to participate in the G20 summit.

The ministry said on its website: Regarding the G20 summit next December, an official invitation was received from Indonesian President Joko Widodo addressed to his Russian counterpart, and Jakarta was initially informed of President Vladimir Putin’s intention to participate in it.

The Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that the form of participation is subject to clarification and later scrutiny, according to the development of the situation in the world and taking into consideration the health and epidemiological situation in Southeast Asia.
