The Russian Duma describes the decisions of the European Parliamentary Assembly as “illegal”

Deputy Speaker of the Russian Duma Assembly Pyotr Tolstoy described the decisions of the sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which are held without his country’s participation, as illegitimate, indicating that Russia will not recognize them.

The RIA Novosti news agency quoted Tolstoy as saying: The British authorities refused to give the Russian and Belarusian delegations the opportunity to participate in the work of this session in violation of all the rules of the European Organization.

Tolstoy stressed that “the Russian delegation did not participate in the Parliamentary Assembly, thus Russia does not recognize the EU Assembly decisions, because they are illegal for Russia.”
