52 financial and insurance companies and institutions participate in Finance and Insurance Technology Exhibition
The Finance and Insurance Technology Exhibition, organized by Interaction Company for Exhibitions and Conferences, kicked off on Wednesday, with the participation of 52 financial, insurance and software companies and institutions, on the Fairgrounds in Damascus.
After a tour by the Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib and Minister of Finance, Dr. Kinan Yaghi, of the pavilions of the exhibition, Al-Khatib drew attention to the importance of participatory work between the two ministries in the financial sector. He asserted that it comes within the national strategy for digital transformation launched by the government to develop the electronic payment system and achieve integrated management of taxes and fees.
Minister Al-Khatib indicated that the exhibition represents an important opportunity to be briefed on the experiences of insurance companies, financial and software institutions, and their latest programs in the financial sector.
For his part, Minister Yaghi noted that the ministry wishes, through the exhibition, to share its experience in automating tax work and using technology to simplify, improve and facilitate the quality of financial services provided, whether in the tax authority, banks, customs or insurance, with leading companies in the banking sector, the business sector, and parties concerned with electronic payment and those interested in technology.
Minister Yaghi pointed out that the exhibition brings together all parties interested in financing and insurance technology and it is an opportunity to exchange information and experiences and reach proposals that constitute a general framework for developing financial and banking work in the next stage.
The Ministries of Finance, Communications and Technology, the Central Bank of Syria, the General Authority for Taxes and Fees, the two bodies for the supervision of insurance and supervision of real estate finance, the Damascus Stock Exchange, banks, public and private insurance companies, licensed electronic payment companies, and a number of software companies take part in exhibition which continues until the 27th of this month.
