Zyuganov condemns U.S. continued occupation of Syrian territories and looting of Syria’s natural resources  

General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov has condemned the continuity of occupying parts of Syria and looting Syria’s natural resources by the US occupation forces.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Moscow on Saturday, Zyuganov said that the coercive economic measures imposed by western countries on Russia and Syria will be overcome.

“Peoples will overcome the sanctions, and now we have to work together and exert our utmost efforts to confront the Anglo-Saxon plague and NATO’s new aggression which is currently targeting Russia and its friendly countries,” Zyuganov clarified.

“The Syrians are a brotherly people for Russia and we know exactly what the Americans did in Iraq and Libya, and therefore, we assisted Syria and will continue to voice solidarity with the country and provide assistance to the Syrians,” he added.
