Zoubi underscores the importance of Boosting Syrian Drama

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi stressed the importance of boosting the Syrian drama to become a profound source of national and cultural inspiration and at the world level, especially after the success it attained  in the making of a distinctive identity for the Syrian drama.

During his meeting with chairman and members of the Syrian artists Union, yesterday, the minister listened to explanations made by artists union chairman Zuhair Ramadanon on the reality of the Syrian drama, the needs of artists, and constraints that might hinder their work components, pointing out that the ministry will spare no efforts to contribute to the renaissance and glory of the Syrian drama.

The minister called on members of the 7th newly elected artists union Council to avail opportunities for young artists, and to debate major issues in dramas away from particularities.

Members of the artists union stressed determination to intensify efforts under the exceptional circumstances the country undergoes for professional and national advancement of the Syrian art and in addressing the fierce media onslaught aims to distort facts and harm the Syrian culture, history and identity.
