DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi said that changes are going in the interests of the Syrian state, pointing out that those worked to dismantle the Syrian state were collided by the steadfastness and solidarity of the Syrian people with their army and leadership.
In an interview with the Syrian TV yesterday Zoubi explained that there is no distinction between terrorism and “moderate opposition” promoted by US, indicating that the countries that are talking about the fight against terrorism, have been backing it and killed the Syrians.
Minister Zoubi pointed out that “the opposition does not set its own conditions but the conditions of Erdogan,Hamad, Hollande and intelligence services,” stressing that the Syrian government maintains dialogue with any party on the interests of Syria and that no one can dictate on the Syrian people.
The Minister continued that what distinguishes the Syrian state since the beginning of the events that it speaks to the Syrians, and that the Syrian leadership and government are more daring and coherent, as one of the secrets of its steadfastness.
“Syria is not concerned with any Arab meeting, not invited to at legal and political ground and as long as Syria’s membership is frozen in the Arab League and some Arabs severed relations with it, therefore they do not have places in initiatives and in speeches addressing the Syrian issue “, Zoubi stressed, pointing out that several Arab and foreign countries want to resume contacts with Syria.
“The Jordanian regime is well aware that it can not continue coexisting with terrorist organizations, “the minister said, stressing that the Turkish government of the Justice and Development Party has not stopped since the beginning of the events in Syria, training and sending terrorists to it, indicating that the US-Turkish agreement to train, what they call “fighters” revealed the Turkish old role in this regard.
Zoubi considered that Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ahmet Davutoglu are not men of politics but of a project seeking achievements without realizing the consequences and size of involvement in Syria.
The Minister pointed to the importance of Egypt role in the Arab nation, adding that the people and the army in Egypt want their country to resume its regional and pan-Arab role but Saudi Arabia does not want, rather to keep Egypt under its control.
On the initiative of the UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura, to freeze the fighting in Aleppo Zoubi said: “Opposition statements want to fail de Mistura’s mission as they rejected the initiative,” pointing out that the debate on the proposal is still going on, and that the Syrian state is listening to the ideas of de Mistura, to get a realistic and feasible idea that lays the foundation for the development of these efforts.
“The decision of the Syrian leadership and President Bashar al-Assad is not to keep any part of Syria outside its sovereignty, even if we fight for a century, and this decision is irreversible, to restore back the whole of Syria, including the occupied Golan,” the minister emphasized.
Zoubi stressed that the Kurds are an integral part of the Syrian people and that talking about self-management, in the political sense in the context of national borders of the Syrian state, is under discussion with the government in accordance with the laws, regulations, and the Constitution, pointing out that the Kurds are facing terrorism in the northern regions as it has been confronted in Damascus, Aleppo and other areas, and the Kurds are part of the confrontation with Daesh terrorist organization.
“The Syrian leadership, the leadership of the army and the Ministry of Defense have greatly undeniable support for Syrian Kurds fighters against Daesh terrorists.” The minister concluded.
