Israeli occupation sets fire to areas in Quneitra’s northern countryside

QUNEITRA, (ST)- The Israeli occupation forces this dawn set fire to the area near the barbed wire, to the east of the occupied Syrian town of Majdal Shams in Quneitra northern countryside.

According to SANA reporter, the fire extended towards the east of the barbed wire in the liberated areas which are opposite to the occupied town of Majdal Shams. The fire affected agricultural and pastoral lands in the northern countryside of Quneitra, and led to the explosion of a landmine.

The reporter said that fighters and a team from the Quneitra Forestry Directorate rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and stop its expansion to surrounding forests.
