Israeli occupation’s attacks on Al-Ibrahimi Mosque violate international resolutions, says Palestinian FM

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation’s attacks on the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque,  stressing that the Israeli occupation forces’ attacks constitute a flagrant violation of international resolutions.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that the occupation forces are using heavy machinery to carry out excavations in the vicinity of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque and to build a road and a settlement bridge with the aim of changing the historical and cultural features of the Al-Haram Al-Ibrahimi.

“They seized Al-Haram’s squares and historical sites in its vicinity to Judaize it, as part of the occupation’s plans to usurp the Palestinians’ right to their land and their holy sites,” the statement adde

It asserted tha the international silence on the Israeli occupation’s scheme to judaize Al-Ibrahimi Mosque is unacceptable.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry considered the occupation’s Judaization measures in the Haram as a blatant and direct attack on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” and its decisions, calling on the organization to take the necessary practical measures to protect Al-Haram and return it to its historical and legal reality that was distorted and stolen by the occupation forces.
