OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Jul.7, (ST)-At least 17 civilians were martyred and others were injured in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes that targeted different areas in the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that at least 5 civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a market near al-Shamaa Mosque in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The occupation warplanes targeted a group of civilians while they were filling water in the vicinity of al-Shamaa Mosque.
Meanwhile, the occupation fighter jets launched a series of raids on various areas in the Gaza Strip, as the raids focused on the city of Rafah and Khan Younis governorate.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said it expects 250,000 people to be forced to flee the city of Khan Younis, even though there is no safe place in Gaza.
The number of civilians who were martyred since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, on October 7, 2023, has reached over 37,900, mostly women and children.
Over 87,060 others have been injured.
Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as rescue teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them.
