OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, JUN1, (ST)-The death toll from the Israeli genocidal aggression on the blockaded Gaza Strip reached 36,379 people, medical sources said on Saturday.
They announced that the death toll and the toll of casualties as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip rose to 36,379 and 82,407 respectively.
They added that within the last 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed five massacres against families in the Strip, resulting in the killing of 95 people and injuring 350 others.
Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those martyred and wounded are women and children.
In another development, it was reported that Israeli occupation forces forcibly evicted Palestinian farmers today from their lands in the town of Beit Ummar, located north of Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank.
The eviction led to widespread fires that destroyed large areas of agricultural land, including trees, grapevines, and almond orchards, according to local sources.
Mohammad Awad, a local activist, told WAFA that the Israeli occupation forces not only expelled the farmers but also fired tear gas and stun grenades, igniting fires across hundreds of dunums planted with olive trees, almond trees, and grapevines.
It is worthy to note that the Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
