Israeli Occupation forces detain 11 Palestinians from West Bank

Al-KhALIL, Occupied Palestine – Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 11 Palestinians and ransacked several houses across the occupied West Bank, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Wafa News Agency reported.

It said in a press statement that five Palestinians were detained from the southern West Bank district of Hebron (al-Khalil).

Security sources elaborated that Israeli military raided Halhoul town and al-Arroub refugee camp, north of al-Khalil city, detaining three Palestinians, including a Fatah member.

 Sources identified the two other Palestinians as residents of Beit Awwa town, southwest of al-Khalil.

Meanwhile, PPS said that three others were rounded up from the central West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh.

One of the detainees was identified as a resident of Jalazoun refugee camp and another as a resident of the Ramallah city neighborhood of Ein Misbah.

Israeli forces also stormed al-Irsal neighborhood, triggering confrontations with local youngsters. No injuries were reported though.

In Nablus district, PPS confirmed an Israeli military raid in Urif village, south of Nablus city, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian.

Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces rounded up a 56-year-old man from al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas city, and another from Anabta town, east of Tulkarm,.

Director of the PPS branch in Tubas Mahmoud Sawafta noted that the 56-year-old man suffers from several diseases and underwent a liver transplant surgery two years ago.

Youth injured by Israeli gunfire near Jenin

In Jenin, a Palestinian youth was injured today after he was shot by Israeli occupation soldiers close to the apartheid wall, near the village of Dhaher al ‘Abed, southwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

WAFA correspondent said that Mohammad Aarda, 25, was shot with a live bullet in the foot and was taken to hospital for treatment.

More than 10 Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire in the same area in the last days.
