Israeli occupation detains 11 Palestinians in the West Bank, attacks Palestinian farmers and fishermen in Gaza
The Israeli occupation forces on Monday detained 11 Palestinians in the West Bank.
Maan News Agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the Palestinian cities of Qalqilya and Al-Khalil as well as the towns of Al-Khuder in Bethlehem and Qarawet Bani Hassan, Deir Istia and Kafr Hares in Salfit city and detained ten Palestinians.
The Israeli forces also detained a Palestinian when they stormed Jaba’ town in the West Bank city of Jenin. During this raid dozens of Palestinians were injured and suffered from suffocation as the occupation forces fired toxic gas bombs at them, according to WAFA New Agency.
Meantime, the occupation forces stormed Al-Laban Al-Sharqiyyeh village, south of Nablus in the West Bank, and demolished two commercial facilities with a number of bulldozers, WAFA reported.
The demolitions carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian property, are part of the occupation’s systematic settlement building policy that poses a threat to the future of the Palestinian people.
In a relevant context, the Israeli occupation again targeted the Palestinian farmers to the east of the besieged Gaza Strip as well as the Palestinian fishermen to the north of the strip.
WAFA reported that the occupation forces fired live bullets at Palestinian farmers in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood to the east of Gaza, while the occupation’s navy targeted Palestinian fishermen’s boats in the sea off Al-Sudania neighborhood in the north of the strip.
The occupation forces attack the Palestinian farmlands in the besieged Gaza Strip on a daily basis in order to prevent the farmers from cultivating their lands. The occupation also deliberately targets fishermen at sea and seizes their boats to prevent them from fishing which is their only source of livelihood in the light of the unjust blockade imposed on the Strip.
