Israeli occupation demolishes the Palestinian city of Al-Araqeeb for the 185th time, detains 24 Palestinians in the West Bank

For the 185th time, the Israeli occupation forces on Thursday demolished the Palestinian Al-Raqeeb village in the Al-Naqab desert area which was occupied in 1948.

WAFA News Agency reported that the Israeli forces raided the village, which is rebuilt by its residents after each time it is demolished, removed all the tents and displaced the residents, pointing out that this is the fourth time this village is demolished since the beginning of this year.

Locals in Al-Araqeeb village stressed that they will continue to be steadfast and rebuild their houses and tents, reiterating their rejection of the occupation’s schemes which led to demolishing dozens of villages in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 with the aim of displacing the Palestinians, seizing their lands, which extend over hundreds of thousands of dunams, as part of the occupation’s plan to Judaize these villages, according to WAFA.

In another development, the occupation forces detained 24 Palestinians in different parts of the West Bank.

The occupation forces raided the villages and towns in the Palestinian cities of Al-Khalil, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Nablus, broke into the houses and arrested 24 Palestinians, WAFA said.

On Wednesday, the occupation also detained 23 Palestinians in the West Bank.

In a relevant context, a number of Palestinians suffered from suffocation cases after the occupation forces fired toxic gas bombs against them during a raid on the West Bank city of Salfit.

Two Palestinians were also injured on Wednesday by occupation forces fire in occupied Al-Quds.
