Israeli Occupation continues to close Gaza Strip Crossings

Israeli occupation authorities continue to tighten their siege on Gaza Strip and close the crossings of Beit Hanoun and Karm Abo Salem.

Wafa News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation continues its closure of Beit Hanoun crossing which links the Gaza Strip with Palestinian terrorists occupied in 1948, and prevent Palestinians’ movement through it for the eleventh day in a row. Meanwhile, the only commercial crossing of Karam Abu Salem, linking the Gaza Strip to the West Bank and designated for transporting goods, supplies and fuel, continued to be closed for the fourth day.

The closure of the crossings causes major economic losses for the Gaza Strip, as its continuation threatens the lives of hundreds of patients receiving treatment in the West Bank’s hospitals.

Since the thirteenth of this month, the eastern outskirts of the Strip have witnessed daily demonstrations in rejection of the crimes of the occupation. The assault of the occupation forces on the demonstrators resulted in the martyrdom of 7 Palestinians and the injury of dozens others.
