Israeli occupation continues closing Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)- The Israeli occupation forces continue for the second day, closing the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied city of Jerusalem and prevent Palestinians from entering or leaving it, while providing protection for the occupation Knesset member “Itamar Ben Gvir” to renew storming the neighborhood for the second time.

“Ben Gvir” stormed the neighborhood and stayed in the headquarters he set up yesterday, a few meters from the house of Salem’s family, which the Israeli occupation threatens to seize and displace its residents to hand over to settlers, according to Wafa news agency.

Yesterday, 31 Palestinians, including a child,  were injured as a result of settler attacks, who seized the land surrounding the home of the Salem family, under the protection of the occupation forces, who arrested 12 other Palestinians.

The Palestinian presidency called on the international community to intervene urgently to protect the Palestinian people from the terrorism of the occupation and its settlers and to stop their racist crimes aimed at Judaizing the Holy City.
