Zionist Forces Kill Senior Palestinian Official

Zionist forces have killed a senior Palestinian official during a protest rally near the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah according to Press T.V.

According to Palestinian security sources on Wednesday, Ziad Abu Ein, who was in charge of  the issue of Israeli settlements within the Palestinian Authority, died after Israeli soldiers hit him with the butts of their weapons and their helmets during the rally in the village of Turmus Ayya.

Abu Ein “was martyred after being beaten in the chest,” said Ahmed Bitawi, the director of the Ramallah hospital.

The president of the Palestinian national unity government, Mahmud Abbas, condemned “the brutal assault that led to the martyrdom” of Abu Ein, calling it “a barbaric act that cannot be tolerated or accepted.”

“We will take the necessary measures after the results of the investigation into the incident,” Abbas said.

Tensions have been running high in the past few weeks in the West Bank and East Jerusalem Al-Quds over the desecration by Israeli occupation troops against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
