Zionist entity, and the West have been propping up terrorism in the Middle East to create hurdles in the path of solidarity among regional nations, a political analyst tells Press T.
In a Saturday interview, Randy Short criticized the global powers for sponsoring terrorism in the Middle East, adding, “Israel, the UK, the United States and those parties do not want a unified Middle East. And of course that would include stability for Syria.”
He pointed to the long lasting problems in the Middle Eastern countries and noted, “The imperialism and injustice of external forces make any existing problem worse.”
Short called on the regional nations to put an end to the ongoing armed struggles and utilize their revenues to build their national infrastructure and promote peace and tranquility.
The remarks come as the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) Takfiri terrorist group has captured two provincial capitals this week, namely Tikrit in the Salahuddin Province, and Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, in the northern province of Nineveh.
The Iraqi army is currently battling the terrorists on the outskirts of the city of Muqdadiyah, situated northeast of Baquba, in Iraq’s eastern province of Diyala.
Over the past days, Iraqi armed forces have been engaged in fierce clashes with the extremist terrorists, who have threatened to take their acts of violence to other Iraqi cities, including the capital. Hundreds of Iraqi volunteers have rushed to army recruitment centers to join the fight against terrorism.
