Zionist Enemy’s Warplanes Target Syrian Army Artillery Positions at Eastern Foothills of Mount Hermon
DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Israeli enemy warplanes late on Tuesday targeted Syrian army artillery positions at the eastern foothills of Mount Hermon. The attack comes within Israel’s policy of supporting terrorist organizations in Syria.
A military source told SANA that the Israeli warplanes fired two rockets from inside the occupied lands on Ein al-Burj site at the eastern foothills of Mount Hermon. One of the cannons was destroyed and another was damaged.
This attack affirms the Israeli enemy’s insistence to support the terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra, (al-Qaeda arm in Syria). It is an attempt to hinder the implementation of the US-Russian agreement, said the source.
The General Command of the army and Armed Forces announced on Tuesday that the Israeli warplanes in the early morning of today attacked Syrian army positions in Quneitra countryside to support the terrorist organizations. The Syrian air defense forces responded to the attack and shot down an Israeli warplane to the southwest of Quneitra and an Israeli drone to the west of Sa’sa’ town.
the Israeli warplanes openly back the attacks launched by Jabhat al-Nusra and its affiliated groups on Syrian Arab Army positions in Quneitra countryside to facilitate the movements of the terrorists and their weapons within the occupied territory.
Israel is aiding Takfiri terrorist groups operating in Syria. The Syrian army has repeatedly seized huge quantities of Israeli-made weapons and advanced military equipment from the foreign-backed terrorists inside Syria.
