Zionist Enemy Renews Attacks against Syrian Army Position in Quneitra

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Israeli enemy renewed today its attacks against one of the Syrian army positions in Quneitra countryside in a desperate attempt to support the terrorist groups and raise their morale, according to the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.

“After the success of our armed forces units in repelling the huge attack carried out by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on Saturday in the surrounding of al-Baath City in Quneitra countryside and as a result of the heavy losses inflicted on Nusra terrorists, the Israel enemy today attacked an army position in a desperate attempt to back the terrorist groups and raise their morale,” the command said in a statement on Sunday.

 The command warned against the danger of these aggressive acts and held the Israeli enemy responsible for the serious repercussions of repeating such acts under whatever pretexts, stressing its determination to smash the terrorists groups which form Israeli’s arm in the region.

On Saturday, a military source said that Israeli warplanes attacked services facilities and residential buildings in the surroundings of al-Baath city in Quenitra province at the same time as Jabhat al-Nsura terrorists were attacking the area. The attack was part of the Israeli enemy’s continuous support for terrorist organizations.

The new Israeli aggression again confirms the close connection between the Zionist entity and Jabhat al-Nusra, which has been internationally classified as a terrorist organization, through continuously backing the terror group’s attacks in several areas in Quneitra.
