Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Lebanon Alexander Zasbekin affirmed that his country stands with Syria in the face of unilateral American coercive measures, especially what is called the Caesar Act, noting that these measures are a violation of international law.
In a press interview published today, Zasbekin stressed that the coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people are doomed to failure. “The Syrian people who have realized victory over terrorism during a long battle will triumph over the starvation efforts that are taking place now.”
“The Caesar Act is part of American coercive measures, and we stand with Syria in this economic battle,” Zasbekin added, noting that Syria is able to bypass these measures through its people rich in competencies.
Regarding Lebanon, Zasbekin said, “The Americans are preparing for chaos in Lebanon,” stressing that this matter does not need much analysis.
