Zarzar Lake tourist site to be put up for tourism investment next year

 Zarzar Lake tourist site in Damascus countryside is to be put up for tourism investment next year, after rehabilitation works, which have been launched by the Syrian Company for Transportation and Tourism in this site, are completed.

Eng. Fayez Mansour, the Company’s Director General told SANA that the aim of the investment project is to reactivate domestic and popular tourism and add new areas to the country’s tourism map.

He added that the company obtained the approval of the Higher Council for Tourism to rehabilitate the lake site, to establish summer and winter restaurants and popular cafes and to provide several services with the aim of making the lake site a tourist attraction to all categories of society and encouraging investors to carry out projects in this area.

Zarzar Lake is located in Al-Rawda area in Al-Zabadani town, which is the most important attractive site for tourism investment. It is about 50 km away from Damascus.
