Zarif: Iran is not satisfied with the level of European commitment to the nuclear agreement

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced that his country is not satisfied with the level of commitment of Europeans to their obligations under the nuclear agreement with them.

“Certainly, we are not satisfied with the level of commitment of the European Union and its members in implementing the nuclear agreement, which was presented during the last meeting of the joint committee of the nuclear agreement in Vienna in a clear and frank way and with remarkable coordination by Iran, Russia and China,” Zarif said in a statement this morning after arriving in Istanbul to participate in the 8th Asia Conference on Afghanistan.

Zarif considered that the accession of 6 European countries to the financial mechanism “Instex” is positive, underlining to the need to activate this mechanism.

The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced late last month that Finland, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden have decided to join the Instex mechanism for doing business with Iran.
