Zakharova: US Actions In Mideast Led To Global Catastrophes

ST. PETERSBURG- US actions in the Middle East in the last few decades have led to global catastrophes, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik radio broadcaster Thursday.

“I think it is the internal affair of the United States, how they should asses their mistakes. So I leave it up to US political scientists and experts. But what I can agree with is that the actions of the United States in the Middle East in the last few decades, and that is no secret, have led to global catastrophes,” Zakharova said on the sidelines of the Baltic Weekend forum.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added that these were likely to be the kind of mistakes that are “worse than a crime.”
