Zakharova: The forthcoming Syrian parliamentary elections are important

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, has asserted the importance of the parliamentary elections due to be held on July 19th.
 
“We consider it is important that all legislative and executive institutions in Syria work normally in order to preserve the stability of the country, so it is necessary to run these elections” Zakharova told the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency  in a press conference held today.
 
In another context, Zakharova revealed information that the Americans are training the terrorists in the area they occupy in al-Tanf in Syria.
 
The Russian diplomat pointed out that the Americans are providing the so-called “Maghawir al-Thawra army” with weapons in order to carry out sabotage operations in other parts of Syria.
 
 “We generally evaluate the situation on the ground as tense and the most difficult situation is in areas which are out of the control of the Syrian government, as in Idleb and the Euphrates area,” she added.
