Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will consider the request of his American counterpart Anthony Blinken to hold a phone call with him when his time permits.
Russia Today website quoted Zakharova as saying, “Lavrov currently has an extensive schedule of international contacts, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries in Tashkent and bilateral meetings. He will consider the request for a phone call with Blinken when time permits.”
Earlier, the US State Department announced through its spokesman, Ned Price, that it had sent to Russia a request to make a phone call between Blinken and Lavrov.
