Zakharova: Kirby’s remarks about Ukrainian aggression against Crimea confirm Washington’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine

The official spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, confirmed that the statements of the strategic communications coordinator in the US National Security Council, John Kirby, about Kyiv’s right to conduct military operations on the territory of Crimea, confirm the US involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.
Zakharova said during a press conference in Moscow today: Kirby’s statements are another recognition of the actual participation of the Americans in the hostilities on the side of the Ukrainian forces, adding: The Ukrainian army has become a mercenary army of foreign weapons and trainers directly from Western countries led by the United States.
Last Friday, Kirby confirmed that the United States recognizes Ukraine’s right to plan and conduct military operations in Crimea because the US considers Crimea as Ukrainian territory.
Zakharova explained that the West’s supply of large quantities of weapons to Ukraine and turning a blind eye to the brutal crimes committed by the Ukrainian forces means that the US seeks to confront Russia and prolong the conflict, stressing that the West will fail to achieve its goals.
On the other hand, Zakharova warned Greece of the consequences and responsibility for breaching the contract if Athens decided to transfer the Russian-made S-300 missile systems to Ukraine.
Zakharova said in this regard: All military equipment sent to Kyiv will be tracked in a timely manner and considered a legitimate target for destruction, and before it is too late, dangerous plans can be abandoned, stressing that the violation of a number of intergovernmental agreements between Russia and Greece, which prohibit the re-export of Russian military products to other countries without Russia’s consent, will have serious consequences.
