Zakharova: America deceived the world with slogans of freedom and democracy

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that America had long deceived the world, hiding behind slogans of the struggle for freedom and democracy.

Russia Today channel website quoted Zakharova commenting on US President Joe Biden’s description of assistance to Ukraine as a smart investment by saying: “Biden’s description of assistance to Ukraine as a smart investment that would bring benefits to future generations. Previously they called it the struggle for freedom and democracy, and now it turns out that these are just calculations. It has always been like this, they deceived the world hiding behind values that do not exist for Washington,” stressing that wars have always represented a reasonable investment for the United States, because they did not happen on its territory and never worried about the costs of others.
