Youth Forum for Defending the Nation’s Sanctities urges deterrent stance on violations against Quran

Damascus –Participants in the Youth Forum for Defending the Nation’s Sanctities, held on Saturday by the Palestinian-Iranian Friendship Society in Damascus, strongly condemned the crime of burning copies of the Holy Quran by some extremist persons in Sweden and the Netherlands.

The called on the world to condemn this crime, stressing that this provocative criminal act will strengthen the Muslims’ adherence to their religion and their holy book. They also called on all countries, Islamic organizations and bodies, and all lovers of truth, goodness and justice in the world to work seriously and institutionally as to adopt a deterrent stance against all individuals, entities and countries that seek to attack the sanctities of the Islamic nation. The participants pointed out that the sinful hands of the Zionist entity are behind this crime that targets the Muslims’ most precious sanctities, stressing the need to join efforts as to confront this entity until its defeat and demise.

Head of the Friendship Society Mohammad Al-Buhaisi indicated in a speech that the repeated aggression against the Islamic sanctities aims mainly at diverting attention away from what the Zionist entity is doing in occupied Palestine, the central issue of the Arab and Islamic nations, pointing out that acts of aggression against the sanctities will not stop until the demise of this entity.

For his part, representative of the Iranian embassy in Damascus Hussein Al-Alawi Mehr affirmed the importance of holding such forums to disseminate awareness, especially among the youth, about what goals of the Zionist schemes. He underlined the need to be aware of the objectives of the attack on sanctities.
