Young volunteer teams continue to provide psychological support for children in shelter centers in Aleppo

Aleppo (ST) – The youth volunteer team of the Directorate of Culture and the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Aleppo continued to provide physiological support for children affected by the earthquake and who are currently residing in shelter centers.

Director of Culture in Aleppo Jaber Al-Sajour affirmed that the team has been present on ground since the people moved to shelter centers in a number of schools and mosques.

Director of the Friends of Culture Forum Fasih Al-Khader stressed that “our role as a team is to support and encourage children”.

One of the team’ members pointed out that the idea of giving the children a private space to express themselves through singing and painting helps them overcome the traumatic event that happened to them.

The parents expressed their happiness and gratitude for seeing their children happy.
