The young sculptor Yusha Fadel chose wood as a raw material for his sculptures to embody faces, features and other topics that were meticulous in detail and beauty. Through his magnificent sculptors , Fadel occupied a prominent position in the fields of wood carving and decoration.
“I started practicing carving 6 years ago . I inherited this skill from my father, who was a school teacher and a carpenter. He worked in decoration and was interested in calligraphy” Fadel told SANA.
He added that he learned from his father a lot of modern designs, especially in the art of sculpture, indicating that he chose colors carefully to turn his wooden artworks into masterpieces.
The sculptor Fadel designs wooden wall decorations, art paintings and engravings on doors, in addition to Pharaonic drawings and wall clocks in unique shapes.
He also launched a new experience in making synthetic wooden masterpieces for children to develop their mental skills.
The thirty-year-old sculptor , who is from Lattakia province, opened his own workshop and carried out many designs in Syria and Lebanon. He confirmed that he loves his craft even though it needs great effort and results in fatigue.
Fadel is keen on introducing his distinguished creativity in the craft of carving on wood.
