Yemen strongly condemns Israel’s aggression against Syrian territories

An official source at the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression that targeted the vicinity of Damascus Sunday evening.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the source confirmed Syria’s legitimate right to respond, confront and defend itself against any new Israeli violations by all means it deems appropriate.

The source reiterated the Yemeni people’s support for Syria in all the measures it takes to protect its land, security and stability.

The source called on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its responsibility towards maintaining international peace and security and putting an end to the Israeli violations and barbaric policies that undermine security and stability in the region and the world.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Monday in a letter to the UN Chief and President of The Security Council that Syria has repeatedly urged the Security Council to condemn the Israeli continuous attacks on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to adopt decisive measures as to put an end to these attacks and to hold Israel accountable.
