Yegorov: The humanitarian situation in the Rukban camp in the Al-Tanf area is still difficult
Moscow (ST): Deputy Head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria Oleg Yegorov said that the humanitarian situation in the Rukban refugee camp besieged by the US occupation forces in the Al-Tanf area on the Syrian-Iraqi border is still difficult.
TASS quoted Yegorov as telling reporters that a large number of refugees are still being held in Rukban camp against their will, noting that the Russian Reconciliation Center has been informed that humanitarian aid, medical and educational services are not reaching them.
The Russian official said: “The US military command continues to obstruct the arrival of a joint mission from the Russian Reconciliation Center and international humanitarian organizations, to assess the real situation in the camp and to evacuate the remaining refugees.”
