Podgorica (ST): Yakov Milatović won the presidential elections in Montenegro, with a wide lead over outgoing President Milo Đukanović.
France Press Agency said that according to the estimates of the Organization (SEMI), which includes the majority of polling stations in the country, Milatovic won in the second round of voting about sixty percent of the vote, compared to forty percent for his opponent.
On the streets of the capital, Podgorica, and other cities in the country, supporters of Milatović, the candidate of the “Europe Now” movement, celebrated his victory, firing arrows of fire.
The poll results are crucial to the balance of power in this country located on the Adriatic Sea, with the approaching date of early legislative elections on the 11th of next June.
