World Youth Festival launched in the Russian district of Sirius with Syria’s participation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially launched the World Youth Festival in the Russian district of Sirius. A Syrian youth delegation had arrived in the Russian city of Sochi to take part in the festival which will last until March 7th.

The festival includes educational, cultural, scientific and sport activities as well as dialogue and training sessions, concert and musical performances.

Addressing the participants, President Putin emphasized that Russia is being built as a country of opportunities for young people.

“We believe in you, young people. And we are building Russia as a country of opportunities for young people. And of course, we are always open to dialogue,” Putin said.

The Russian President continued by saying that the participants of the World Youth Festival dream about what a safe world should be like, and it is up to them to create it.

He noted that the festival will provide an opportunity to discuss this with peers.

The World Youth Festival is a venue for forging ties between young people from different countries in order to build a fair future. The festival’s organizers believe that the world of the future can be built only by a team, each member of which is unique, but together they make a harmonious picture.

20,000 young people are taking part in the festival, 10,000 from Russia and 10,000 others from 180 foreign countries.

800 activities will be held during the festival’s days with the participation of 1500 activists, 500 athletes, 2500 artists and craftsmen and 3000 artists representing the arts of cinema and theater.
